International Buyer Beware!!

**Update** It is now 120 days and I still waiting for my package on empty promises and false statements (in writing) from William Sonoma representatives. This can be considered a fraud situation in my country.
This company has fulfillment problems. You will not receive the item you ordered and they will refuse to issue a refund since your order would be stuck in a constantly fulfillment period. It is closed to a modern day robbery. Don’t buy from William Sonoma.

Overcharging sales tax and refusing to refund!

This company overcharged me in taxes for my 3 orders and refusing to give my money back. They are claiming that their system is automatic and that they cannot make adjustments even when their basic math mistake is so obvious. My first order supposedly $1,023.57, they charged $1,047.32. My second order should be $269.32, they charged me $275.57. My third order was supposed $215.45, they charged me $220.44. The agent and the manager claimed that because I bought it online, the tax rate is higher. I have not experienced this with other stores online. My sales tax based on my zip code is 7.75% only!

If I could give them negative stars I would. I will never buy from this company again. They are a scam. I ordered four items. I received 3. 1 was damaged. 1 item they notified me would not be sent
They charged my credit card for more money than my order total, in weird increments
They refuse to acknowledge it in any way
They sent me a duplicate of part of the order I already received.
When I notified them of their error and asked them to pick up the extra items they begun threatening to charge me for it if I don’t bring it back to the store (all stores are closed as we are in a lockdown down due to the pandemic) it is also illegal to send unsolicited merchandise to people and then bill them for it even if I did keep the merchandise. Which I don’t want to. I am actively trying to return it because I don’t need two of these items and they are poorly made (the duplicate is also damaged)
Do not buy this company. They are absolutely incompetent. Their merchandise is of poor quality their customer service is infuriatingly inept. Their operating services appear to be useless to as they over bill and send out items that weren’t ordered.

The Worst Customer Service

Ordered one of the ovens and received no confirmation, so ordered a second. The product went on sale cheaper, called to get the cheaper price, and a credit applied and was told that could not be done even though I had not received the merchandise. No one does this, everyone honors cheaper prices especially when the merchandise has not been received most would honor it up to 30 days after purchase. So canceled one of the ovens, not shipped yet, and returned the other when received. A credit was not applied for 3 weeks after you all received the merchandise back and I had to call to get the credit "pushed through" they said. Ordered 2 more ovens at the reduced price, waited for the backorder again. Received both ovens and my daughter took hers to her place, out of town and it was dented in 3 places. Returned this oven for a replacement. Was told they would expedite the shipment of the replacement that day then got the return and instructions and it said a replacement would not happen until the oven was received by you all. So completely lied to. Even after the oven was received on April 12th no movement on sending out the replacement. I have called back 4 times for an update each time people telling me they got the replacement order prioritized with expedited shipment only for nothing to happen. Called yesterday and the lady said it should go out today and I should get an update. It had been sitting there with an April 29th - May 3rd delivery date. After I got off the phone with her and she said her manager put me at the top of the list the confirmation moved back my delivery date to May 11th, so not sooner but later, reallly? I called back today to get an update and the guy said there was nothing that could be done. I asked to speak with a manager of which he would not transfer me. He finally told me there should be stock on April 29th and I said then I should be able to get it by Monday, May 3rd. Then he said well it needs to be inspected and tested to make sure it is not damaged and is working correctly, really, this obviously was not done on the other one. And that could take a while to do so I would not receive it until May 11th. I told him this was unacceptable to put my order back the way it was yesterday because that order would be received by May 3rd at the latest. I then asked to pick one up at a local store and he said he could not call the store to arrange that, said they could not call the store.

And the items I have purchased are $350 each, so not small amounts.

The worst customer service

The worst customer service I have ever experienced and that is with expensive items ordered. Will not honor deeper sales prices on orders you have not received. And on returned items have to contact them 3 weeks after return to get refund. On damaged items return and promised expedited shipping still waiting 3 weeks after return and everytime I contact them for status they promise they will ship immediately. And then push delivery out further. Call and they just say sorry and will not transfer you to a manager. Would buy from anyone other than them in the future.

Buyer Beware!

I have ordered twice from WS. The first shipment of cocktail glasses arrived promptly. The 2nd order processed on 4/19/21 (a set of cocktail glasses for a May anniversary gift) was paid and my delivery date was originally scheduled for May 3. Cool! NOT! My delivery date was unceremoniously delayed to September 13,2021. SEPTEMBER 2021! WTH! I called customer service to cancel my order and have a refund issued. The rep was nice, but told me she couldn't cancel my order until it shipped! WHAT?! Are you kidding me?! I was not expecting a 5-6 month wait for an item. The website said it was in stock. I am so disappointed and beyond words for the audacity of this company to think its customers will just sit around and wait 5-6 months without any recourse, refund or the products they ordered. I will no longer order anything from Williams-Sonoma. They are untrustworthy and unscrupulous. Take your money elsewhere.

Dont use WS!!!!!!!!

Dont use WS online, they have absolutely no clue how to drive an e-commerce business here are all their problems:
They don’t know how to track delivery, that means that you can’t expect your delivery at promised date, they will just change it without giving you any updates, terrible service.
They will spam your inbox with loads of emails before you even receive what you ordered.
Everything is VERY overpriced
Just to conclude I ordered something on March 2th the dates they where supposed to be delivered and the information giving is like this initial date for delivery was 11th of March, then moved to 21st of March then to 13th (but when it didn’t show up yesterday they moved it 2 days ahead) so now I’m waiting for 15th
Terrible business, they haven’t even sent my package according to their own tracking service.
Trying to contact customer service? Yes and no reply!

I wrote a review on an item ($80 spoons…

I wrote a review on an item ($80 spoons that were poor quality and degraded after one handwash.) They pulled my review. Every review that was posted seemed to be fake and commented specifically that they were good quality and should not be placed in a dishwasher (which never happened in my case). Anyways, they only post bogus and biased reviews and should not trusted.

I would leave 0 stars if I could. They have delayed table delivery 3 times, and even after I requested a refund they refuse to issue it. DO NOT SHOP FROM WILLIAMS SONOMA

Horrible horrible service

Horrible horrible service! I ordered a dutch over well before Xmas and they guaranteed that I would get it before Xmas and it arrived in FEBRUARY!!!! I attempted to cancel it when I learned it would not arrive before Xmas and I never got a response and was charged! NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN!!! The worst service ever!!!

WS shipping is very poor, fragile expensive items literally thrown in large boxes without packing material along larger heavy items. It has to be expected to break. Returns/refunds take weeks. All this and the customer is charged shipping fees. You get to pay to have a broken broken product, do your own return packaging, drive to a drop off location and wait. Their prices are high and MOST items can be purchased elsewhere with better service.
They'll ignore you when you bring this up.

Because they are scamming to show higher sales numbers. Their systems can't even handle an address change ( when my order was delayed 5 months I needed the address changed due to a move).

They are not an ethical company. I bought an appliance on their website on 4/5/2021. Was promised shipment on on April/30-May5. I got an email that the shipment was moved to May25-May29. Now I got an email saying that the shipment was moved to June11-June15. I sent them several emails requesting them to allow pick up at the local store. They refused. I see now that the price has gone up and they are trying to get me to cancel my order which as at their advertised price. SCAM. BAIT and SWITCH
